Our clients fell in love with their large Queen Anne lot but wanted their home to better reflect their style. Built in the 1920s, the house was a mix of older, inadequately constructed remodels that left it with a cobbled-together look. The homeowners didn’t like the small closets, the rough basement, the undersize deck, the sunken living room, or the closed-off kitchen. Their goal was to completely transform the style of their home, and they succeeded brilliantly.
Their freshly remodeled home features an enlarged master suite with spacious closets and a luxurious spa bathroom. Two additional bedrooms, one with an en-suite bath, are comfortable retreats for guests. The redesigned front sitting room features a marble-surround fireplace, custom moldings, and an elegant coffered ceiling. The jewel-box-style powder room is accessed by a concealed jib door. With its large island that is perfect for entertaining, the new chef’s kitchen opens into the cozy living room and multi-level deck.
